“Learn to Execute Under Pressure” rugby skills and IQ phase (learn to execute performance rugby skills under pressure, and in competition, once they are mastered through training).
DESCRIPTION
Development Pathway:
• Begin and develop significant participation in competition to learn problem-solving, tactics and loss;
• Cycle through baseline re-evaluation and progress tracking. Measure yourself against your peers;
• Keep developing strength, conditioning, speed and agility;
• Learn the value of discipline and hard work;
• Start understanding what position you are most suited for as a player, based on skill sets and physical attributes. Narrow the focus on one or two positions to advance the skill sets.;
• “Learn to Execute Under Pressure” rugby skills and IQ phase (learn to execute performance rugby skills under pressure, and in competition, once they are mastered through training);
• Understand yourself as an athlete in higher pressure environments.
Opportunities:
• Develop a track record in the USA Rugby system;
• Participate in USA Rugby High-Performance camps;
• Be selected for the USA SCHOOLS Sevens and USA SCHOOLS XV™ squads;
• Be recruited by top rugby or football college programs with opportunities for scholarships;
• Be selected for domestic tournaments such as USA Rugby Regional Cup Tournaments 15s, Las Vegas 7s, North American Invitational 7s, Philadelphia Penn Mutual 7s etc;
• Represent the USA Schools XVTM in high-level world competitions such as the World Schools Festival (South Africa), the Rugby Youth Festival (Portugal) and the World Junior Invitational (Japan);
• Represent the USA Schools SevensTM at the World Youth Rugby 7s Festival (Southern California).

Event Description: This is a US domestic Sevens Tournament.
The selected squads will feature 12 players each and will compete as “Rhinos Rugby Academy” teams (the Academy is featuring “USA Schools” teams for international tournaments only).
Age-Groups: U14 – U18 Boys & Girls
Date: Feb 28 – Mar 2, 2019 (leave Feb 27 and return Mar 2). Some age groups compete on Feb 28/Mar 1 and some age groups compete on Mar 1/Mar 2. Check back for schedule.
Location: Heritage Park 310 S Racetrack Road in Henderson, NV 89015
Cost (includes accommodation 2 nights, meals, tournament local transportation, tournament teams costs):
$275/player
Transportation to/from Vegas:
Rhinos buses (Irvine or Sacramento): $10/person each way

Eligibility:
All players selected are required to be Rhinos Academy members and train regularly (not exclusively) at the Rhinos Irvine or Sacramento facilities, or via our remote training program. Affiliate clubs members are considered Rhinos Academy members. All players selected are required to have current USA Rugby membership.

Event Description: This is an international rugby 15s elite tournament. There will be one team of 23 players selected nation-wide that will be competing as “USA Schools by Rhinos Academy”, and 7 development players that can join the tour and experience Tier 1 tournament and train with the squad. Players will be selected via the free TIDE Camps.
Age-Groups: U19 Boys Elite
Date: Mar 25 – Mar 30, 2019 (leave ~Mar 20 and return Mar 31)
Location: Paul Roos Gymnasium, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA
Cost (includes travel, accommodation, meals, local transport, tournament team costs and local sightseeing trips):
Squad players: $1,000/player for the selected squad of 23 players (Rhinos Academy is contributing the balance of $1,500/player). Payment can be made in full or in 3 monthly payments of $350/month to be completed in full by May 30 2019.
Development players: $2,500/player for 7 development players. Payment can be made in full or in 4 payments of $625 to be completed in full by March 10 2019.
Rhinos Academy Membership requirement:
There is no Rhinos Academy membership requirement for the USA SCHOOLS teams.
The Rhinos Academy will be taking the following teams:

Event Description: This is an international rugby 15s tournament. There will be 3 teams of 23 players selected nation-wide that will compete as “USA Schools XV by Rhinos Academy” in 3 different age groups, and 3 development players that can join the tour for each age group team. All players are selected from the free TIDE Camps.
Age-Groups:
U15 Boys (born between Sep 1 2003 – Dec 31 2005)
U17 Boys (born between Sep 1 2001 – Dec 31 2003)
U15 Girls (born between Sep 1 2003 – Dec 31 2005)
Date: April 13 – 14 (leave ~ Apr 10 and return Apr 16/17)
Location: Lisbon, PORTUGAL
Cost (includes travel, accommodation, meals, local transport, tournament team costs and local sightseeing trips):
Squad Players: $1,800/player (Rhinos Academy is contributing the balance of $450/player).

Rhinos Rugby Academy is the leading high-performance rugby academy in USA. With state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and high-caliber staff, the Academy brings to the rugby community comprehensive multi-level training, camps and domestic and international tournaments.
ELIGIBILITY
- Age: 14 – 18 yrs old (U16 – U18 Age Groups)
- Code of Conduct: Sign and Abide;
- Fees: pay the monthly fees and academy kit;
- Equipment: bring rugby cleats, mouth guard, running shoes, water bottle.

- GPA: hold minimum 3.5 or be on active improvement pathway with the Academics Specialist;
- Code of Conduct: Sign and Abide;
- Rhinos Rugby ScoreTM: hold 270 or above;
- Training: with Rhinos Academy Squad for minimum twice/week;
- Fees: pay the monthly fees and academy kit;
- Equipment: bring rugby cleats, mouth guard, running shoes, water bottle.
